Hatoko is Kotarou's little sister, and Misaki's first real battle opponent. Hatoko is very small, but has a lot of talent and knowledge in the world of Angelic layer. This has gained her much popularity with the fans, even leading her to get a lot of fan mail. She is very kind to Misaki about her angel, but sometimes comes across like a little bragger. She is one of the helping hands that help keep Misaki up and going.
