Calamity Jane

Calamity Jane was born in 1852 in Missouri. Her father abandoned her and her mother. Her mother did not make enough money and so married a Boston man. At 14, Jane left for the West. While crossing the Appalachians, she met the Comanches; they hold her. The Chief's wife helps Jane. At 17, Jane leaves the Comanches and she becomes a bounty hunter.
